I think it would be really easy to handle the dataset if -

1. There is a possibility to maintain the original version of the entity with _previous = null. As that is something we always look to compare or resolve issues specially when SESAM handles update or delete calls towards External API.

2.  Post you do a search of type text ie a pattern the count of entities that match the search- would be really good to have.

  1. By the original version I assume you mean the initial version of an entity? This entity will be compacted away eventually, so there is not safe way to use this to deal with issues like this.

  2. We are looking into the possibility of plugging in a search engine to do searching in datasets.
