We should be able to search for a literal string.
One way of doing this is making it possible to escape symbols in the search field.
e.g.
\"direction\"\:
would search literally for "direction":

  The Sphinx documentation search is very limited and I think it is unlikely that we’ll be able to make it do literal searches. It does tokenization and stemming of the search term(s) before running the query.
